ATGA projects: environmental and wetland restoration work completed and ongoing
The Association of Growing Media Producers (ATGA) is active in environmental and nature-friendly projects aimed at reducing negative environmental impacts, contributing to the restoration of wetlands, and promoting sustainable use of resources. This is an integral part of the Association's strategy to help implement the Green Deal and adapt to the challenges of climate change.
In recent years, ATGA and various partners have carried out several important projects to restore wetlands, which is crucial to restoring the ecosystem's natural carbon storage and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Restored areas are gradually returning to a natural ecosystem cycle, which benefits both climate and biodiversity.
In addition to wetland restoration, ATGA projects include methodologies for calculating CO₂ emissions, improving agricultural sustainability and maintaining soil quality. Some projects focus on long-term monitoring results to assess the real impact on the environment and nature.
ATGA also provides education - information on the progress and results of projects is made available to farmers, scientists, municipalities and the public. This strengthens environmental awareness and promotes cooperation.
The projects that have been and are being implemented show that business and the environment can go hand in hand. ATGA aims to be a good example of how a sustainable approach helps to create long-term benefits for society and nature.
